HAHA YAY.

Netflix has improved the quality of my life. I can't wait to watch this.

UPDATE.

It was not as good as I thought it was going to be. I'm disappointed. It was kind of boring! ... which is weird because Jude Law and Stephen Fry were constantly making-out.

Ahoy! Another GD Tea Towel!

Mmk. I got my camera out of hibernation and tried out shooting stuff instead of scanning it.

I really should read the manual on this thing.

I've got this painting in my kitchen that I did when I was on a watercolor bender. (I seem to be drawn to hobbies chiefly enjoyed by the elderly. I am mature for my age, maybe.)

CLOSE UP!

I like that anchor! The rope is bitchin. I think I got it from a clipart book of occult images. (As you can see, I was right to give up watercolors. Anyway...) I changed it a little bit and now it's a tea towel:
Yessss.

Oh Snap, Harry Potter!

Please pardon the lack of pew pew lazer eyes. I think this needs to be embroidered post-haste!
Large post-its are a nice size for doodles. Too bad they are yellow.

This has been a productive lunch break

for doodlin' more dumb faux steampunk dumbery.
Maybe wearing what looks like an entire bay window's drapery is kinda punk already.
"Four Score and... HEY SOMEBODY GET ME A BEEEEER"
I know his eyes were both the same size. Shut up, he's punk so it's OK.

LOLSteampunky.

I feel a series coming on... toot toot!

Hrmm.

Keds has some sort of vintage/butnotactuallyvintage sneaker. Screenshot? Yuss pls.

It looks steampunky.

I'm so behind the times.

Dude, Zazzle has been around forever and I'm only just now testing the waters. This is the result of me dipping my little toesies in.
Why hello, crappy doodle that was just hangin' out on my desktop! Now you are on a mug! I can't wait to see how it turns out. I am cuuuuurious about them tote bags. You might say that I'm ...totes curious. TEEHEE!

Fine and Dandy.

So Beatniks are pretty awesome, right? I love 'em. What with the bongos and the coffee and the smoking and the snapping. Well... lately I've been thinking that their natural enemy, Dandies, might be more awesome? Probably? (In internet terms I think that the beatniks would be like the pirates and the dandies would be the ninjas)

I made this dandy tea towel this weekend:

and I have not once made a beatnik towel. I haven't made a beatnik ANYTHING. In fact, if I were to do a beatnik embroidery, I don't know what I'd do. Animal maybe? Like, a beatnik badger? I think it would have to be a forest animal. Like, they all sit around a little tree stump drinking coffee and playing the toadstools in their little acorn berets.

But anyway. A Dandy! After reading the WAY MORE INFORMATIVE THAN IT PROBABLY NEEDED TO BE site www.thedandy.org... I know now that I was wrong about dandies. I thought they were more like Oscar Wilde?

...but actually they are more like Fred Astair. Disappointment.

I have been BUSY

with the 'broiderin. I call this guy Mr. Chubby Hooves. Cute, right?

Scanning makes it look a little weird (and yellowish) but I am too lazy to charge my camera and find some light. Our house has many, many curtains. It is very dark. It's a dark house. When it's nice outside (like it is right now) it feels like our front door opens out onto the sun.

Mr. Chubby Hooves looks like he needs some art on his butt. But what? (what what, in the butt?) I was thinking maybe some hearts but his EYES are already hearts and I don't want it to look like he has:
1. Eyes on his butt.
2. Butt on his eyes.

In which my previous statement benefits from a visual.

I'm only just a little past dressing-up cats, but it's a slippery slope.
I've been buying a lot of stuff lately.

I got these yesterday:

and ordered this stuff today:

I'm clearly looking forward to spring, no? I just got some light wash, harem-y cropped jeans too. I'm going to look batshit insane! Like, 10 cats on the cat-lady scale insane. It will be wonderful.

I should rename this blog "jenny spends too much money, dresses like a nut."
Omfg?

Christmas tights.
With GLITTER. I think I might need them... for fancy dress parties.

I really wish they had a picture on foot. :'(

OK. Let's talk about this bag again:

I love it, right? But it's $785.

That's a lot of cash.

I mean, I'd use it and love it and whatever but for $10 more I could get this...

A Possibly Gay Fox costume, $795. (not its real name.)
More embroid'ries

It's supposed to be a surfboard... but... didn't quite turn out that way.

Takin' Care of Burgers!

ahaha. I'm hilarious. I might make more and put them on etsy... for a MILLION DOLLARS.
Spring 10! Fuck Yeah!

I dunno what it is, but I am wicked excited about spring fashion right now. Maybe the winter was too long? Maybe because I've been working on fall stuff? Who knows but I am going batshit.

1. I want this bag. Oh my god, I want this bag.

Why do I want it so much?! It's like, $785 at J.Crew. THAT'S CRAZY 'SPENSIVE. But oh, I love it. I'm already imagining all the adventures we'll go on together.

2. OBEY jewelry? Who knew?

This stuff isn't s10 or anything but it's new to me. I can't say I've ever really thought about OBEY before (outside of having a subscription to SWINDLE & being curious about the whole Obama poster thing) but these are pretty sweet. I love bows & arrows, dunno where that came from as I'm not very sporty.

3. New CocoRosie album.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH SO EXCITED. I was obsessed with La maison de mon rĂªve the summer I got it. I'd sit on the porch and play it (on vinyl, natch) over and over inside with the door open.
