Peter Gabriel Week, Day 4
I was scanning google image search for some Pete-spiration for the post today and I found something pretty good.
So... you know how sometimes, guys are shirtless and it seems kind of normal? But then OTHER TIMES some guy is not wearing a shirt, and it is more like "OH MY! WHY ARE YOU TOPLESS? COVER THAT UP, PERV!"
Well guess which way I feel about this photo.
Who stole his shirt? That's super mean, you guys.

Peter Gabriel Week: Day 3
OK, it is Day 3 and lets face it, I don't know that much about early Genesis.
Could I use this as an opportunity to learn more?
Maybe.
Am I going to?
No.
I mean, I am only doing a theme week because I think it's funny and weird. I certainly don't hate Genesis, but not liking them is part of what makes me a girl. Ladies liking prog? That is ridic! What's next? Listening to Rush for the lyrics? Sorry, but I am not ready to move to Canada yet.
So what am I gonna do? I'm gonna dig around like a badger in a trash can.
Yes. I am gonna go with what I know, and what I know is that boyfriend wore batwings with a rainbow cape like some sort of low-rent Halloween Liberace.
And he totally owned it.
So here's a cross stitch!
Backstitch the headband, french knot his eyes, and watch this for reference.

Burger Math
So, my boyfriend loves hamburgers the same way I love unicorns. Which is to say, very much and also not at all. It's a love born from irony. So I have made him many hamburger things.
I have made him a hamburger ice-breaker button:
and a more festive, embroidered one:
I even had this T-shirt made:
So, he's gotta lotta hamburger crafts, which brings me to my latest. I have never stitched on apparel before, and it was about time. You can only have so many tea towels.
HAMBURGER GANGS!! They be throwin' pickles at old ladies and loiterin' at our Sonics!
THE FLAME GRILLED MENACE!!
ENHANCE.
ENHANCE.
Embroidering with yarn on something as smushy as a sweatshirt was like, the most comfortable crafting ever. I wanted to hug it and sleep on it. I liked using it because it wasn't so important that it look... um... particularly skillful. I mean, it's a hamburger hoodie. If it looks a little wonky, it only adds to it's charm. Crappy charm.

Cutest Party Ever
I've been thinking that I want to throw some sort of adorable theme party lately. After seeing this music video, I am positive that I want to throw an adorable theme party.
Operator Please 'Back And Forth' from BRILLE RECORDS on Vimeo.
The sparkles! The colors! THE POMPOM SHOULDERS! It is just too cute.
And the umbrellas? Can you say EASIEST JELLYFISH COSTUME EVER?
Say it. Say "easiest jellyfish costume ever"

FACES OF METH SANTA
I just got a used cross stitch book from 1993. Some of the patterns are immediately usable, like FREEDOM EAGLE
& some are completely, unintentionally, hilarious...

He's done!
I finished my Burt Reynolds bookmark. I could have sworn I saw a pattern somewhere for this, but I couldn't find one. ANYWHERE ( provided anywhere means a quick google search ). I thought this was AMERICA. There are already Charlie Sheen x-stitch patterns but no naked, hairy Burts.
So I made my own.
ENHANCE.
Add a santa hat and bam, Christmas present.
I kinda laughed the entire time I was making this, but now it's time to start a new project!
Enter the $4 kit:
Not my style, you might say? You would be right. I'm gonna hack it. haha.
X-STITCH HAX0R.
Check it.

That is supposed to be fire, btw. Not flowers. There has been some confusion.
